ESRI Case Study Features Kennedy Jenks Data Management Solutions

By

Kennedy Jenks’ (KJ’s) data management strategies were recently featured as a case study on the ESRI website. Kennedy Jenks manages several sites across the US where staff regularly sample and collect data related to water quality. Water quality data is recorded and used to establish compliance with water quality standards via monitoring wells installed near sites.

Traditionally, paper-based forms have been used for this type of monitoring, which meant a slow process of inputting data and photos into databases and spreadsheets. Using ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123, KJ’s team developed a digital form that streamlined field data collection and data analysis. Data was instantly accessible and less prone to errors. With real-time monitoring and inspection status, project managers could respond quickly. Reporting was also simple, with PDF versions generated for use in reports and data submission. To learn more about how digital forms support industrial and manufacturing companies in managing water quality, read the full case study.

KJ has encouraged clients and field staff to adopt digital forms to improve project workflow. The efficiencies of digital forms and data management have benefited the firm’s water quality practice. Digital forms have a wide variety of applications across work groups and industries.
