San Francisco, CA – Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Inc. today announced that Gary M. Carlton has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors of Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Inc. Mr. Carlton previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors from 2014 to 2018 of the employee-owned company.
Mr. Carlton’s leadership experience also includes 16 years with Kennedy/Jenks, providing professional technical and management experience in the field of environmental engineering.
Before joining Kennedy/Jenks, Mr. Carlton was a co-founder of McLaren Environmental Engineering Corporation. While with McLaren, Mr. Carlton established seven new offices to expand the company from a single office with $10 million in annual sales to a national firm with annual sales of $60 million. He later served as CEO responsible for management of McLaren/Hart US operations with annual sales of $90 million and 15 consulting offices located in major US cities.
Mr. Carlton provided valuable leadership to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, where he served as an Executive Officer in Sacramento, California from 1997-2002. He was appointed by then-Governor Gray Davis as a member of the State Water Resources Board which oversaw all regional boards and developed statewide water policy.
