KJ’s 2023 Kickstart Program Complete; Applications Open for 2024 Summer Internships
Kennedy Jenks (KJ) recently completed its 2023 Kickstart program – an eight-week intensive internship program where summer interns are immersed in KJ’s clients and culture. Applications are now open for 2024 summer internships. Apply today!
Throughout Kickstart, participants work side-by-side with KJ teams working on critical infrastructure and environmental engineering projects in the U.S. Additionally, comprehensive overviews of the company’s operations and service offerings complement training for valuable professional skills such as client service, technical writing, finance, and more.
The 2023 Kickstart team covered everything from learning the basics of construction management to creating 3D structural models. Site visits and personalized learning opportunities are standard for all participants. Mentors and supervisors are available to Kickstart participants throughout the program to answer questions, be a sounding board, and build a meaningful relationship they can take with them into the future.
Being able to apply what's taught in the classroom, on very real project dealing with critical infrastructure, makes this information come alive for our interns. The experiences people have early in their career can truly impact their career path, and KJ is happy to be a part of anyone's journey in this industry.
This year’s Kickstart participants came from schools including:
- University of Colorado Boulder
- University of Hawaii Manoa
- San Diego State University
- Arizona State University
- Purdue University
- California State University Fullerton
- Colorado School of Mines
- Stanford University
- Sacramento State University
This annual program is currently accepting applications for summer 2024. For more information or to apply, visit our 2024 Summer Internship job post.
