Keith London, President and CEO of Kennedy Jenks, has been nominated and inducted to the National Academy of Construction (NAC). Academy nominations, granted by invitation only from current NAC members, recognize and honor industry leaders who have made significant contributions to the construction industry.
Keith’s career spans 40 years of technical expertise in water, wastewater, and reclamation projects throughout California and Arizona, with a propensity for innovation and environmental stewardship.
“With natural resources being limited, utilities need creative solutions to maintain and improve levels of service. Climate change creates the need for innovation with both public agencies and private sector clients to address their ever-changing water needs,” said Keith in a 2022 interview for Environment Analyst Ltd.
Keith joined KJ in 1997, serving as Southern California Regional Manager, Client Service Manager, and Public Works Operating Officer before becoming the first non-Kennedy President and CEO in 2006. Responsible for the strategic direction and sustainability of KJ, Keith has led the company to achieve record financial performance and employee engagement during his tenure.
“Keith’s expertise and commitment to innovation in water management have not only shaped KJ’s success under his leadership, but have advanced the industry. His nomination to the NAC is well-deserved and will no doubt lend valuable contributions to the organization,” says Gary Carlton, Chair, Kennedy Jenks Board of Directors.
Before joining KJ, Keith worked in both public and private sectors, first as a project manager for Rancho California Water District, then transitioning to professional engineering consulting for John S. Murk Engineers and Camp, Dresser & McKee (later becoming CDM Smith.)
As a registered Professional Engineer in California and New York, Keith is an active industry leader in the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association, and Water Environment Federation. He has served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, as Senior Vice Chair, for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), on the Board of Directors for the ACEC Research Institute, and on numerous ACEC committees.
Keith holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and earned an MS in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University in 2022.
